Our Philosophy
We come from the European family. They’re working class. They’re the big family in the small house. The best cooks. The tellers of stories, and the truth, but most importantly, they are our family, our culture, and our history. Tatelbaum is wine for home, for family, for friends and lovers. We are lovers of late night conversations, coming back for seconds and gazing out to the stars. We are hopeless romantics, endlessly devoted to the sweetest moments. Kisses on the forehead, coming home to flowers and a glass of wine.
The Tatelbaum range has been based around 4 women over generations of our family, each with larger than life personalities. For this reason, we have represented these women through illustrations and storytelling that ties together the meaning of their name and essence of their personality.

Prosecco | The Star
Representing strength as she helped raise her younger siblings, and worked to support her family, running her local deli. Her strength and dreaming illustrated in the stars, linked to her name, and the power these hold. To us, the night sky represents a longing for home and how we are always guided by the worlds above us.
Miriam
Grillo | The Sea
The matriarch of Tatelbaums. From a small town with very little money, survived off love and community to raise her five children. Miriam, meaning sea, represents the flow and synchronicity with family. As things move and flow freely, so too does Miriam and the way she handles everything that comes her way. Represented by the sea, and the flow of care in family.

Heather is defined by her loving and fiercely loyal nature. She was a natural born teacher and nurturing spirit. Evergreen flowers represent a sturdiness and everlasting life that is only found in the home and safety that provides.
